Today I took the Sun Certified Java 2 Programmer exam and passed with a 81% score! I'm quite satisfied as I didn't care what score I received (I'm just getting the SCJP to help my entry-level job search, rant to come later...).
The RoundUp is an excellent way to quiz yourself on some of the basic topics and brings up holes in your knowledge!
I averaged a 78% on Marcus Green's exams so go figure! Marcus' exams have some tricky questions that make you aware of things Sun can pull (i = i++) hehe. The practice from his 3 exams were invaluable.
I studied a total of 4 days. Let me preface this statement with the fact that I hold a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering (and the addage that once you learn one language you know them all is true!).
Materials Used:

JavaRanch Roundup and Marcus Green's exams!
I wouldn't have passed without the information on this site.
Thanks!!
