I passed the SCJP exam today with a score of 89%. I have no real java programming experience and spent 2 months in preparation. I read Begginning Java2(first 14 chapters), RHE book(twice), Java In A Nutshell(first 3 chapters) and do a lot of practice questions. My advise to those planning to seat for the exam is to do plenty of mock tests as those available on the web are of comparable level of difficulty as the actual exam. I am now considering whether to take the Sun Developer exam or the developer exams from Jcert. Does anyone here knows about the market value of the Jcert certification as compared to SUN certification in your country? Thanks.
