First of all I'd say focus on the Programmer Certification Study Forum, it is full of others studying for certification and some folks who have passed and want to help out.
Also take a look here http://www.javaranch.com/certfaq.jsp it's our Certification FAQ, always look here first if you have a question, you may not need to post it because the FAQ may answer it for you, it also lists some useful resources.
Another thing, this forum is really for people who have taken the exam, for them to share their successes and if they havn't succeeded this time, to have people encourage them not to give up. So stick to the study forum and maybe the Java in General Beginner and Intermediate forums for now, they will offer the most help.
Also don't forget to take advantage of the search facility in the forums, it can be very useful when you're looking for one particular thing.
Good Luck in your studies.

Hi Shakeel,
Maybe u could go to Maha Anna's web page, she has given the different steps in chronological order which can be followed to become an SCJP, for starters, u have already completed one step....registering in JavaRanch!! In addition, u can also order JQ+(though not absolutely necessary) which will help u a lot, save Marcus Green exams for the last 1-2 weeks, I got around 80-83% in his exams and came out of the actual one with an 86%, so they are good pointers to ur actual score, but don't do them now.
Hope that was of some help!!
