Hi friends,
The last date of my coupen is 31st of october, and i m going to give this exam on 30th. Problem is, i still getting around 65% marks in jqplus and around 70% in jwhiz. That's why i m so tensed. I m trying to prepare anyway but i think i have lack of confidence. Can somebody plz tell me what's the average passing score of those who got nearly same scores as mine.
thanx

If you still not confident or you want to get a higher score while your voucher expiration date is going to expired, I think you can sign up for testing, and then call again and tell them that you want to extend your exam, this is the loophole I read from Boone/Stanek's book (Java 2 Exam Guide p.22).
Hope this will help,
roy

Sandeep,
You'll find that on the back of your voucher it is clearly mentioned that though you must register before the voucher expires, the actual date of exam may be differed upto 1 year. Though it may vary from place to place. Are you from India? Contact your prometric test center asap and let them know when you want to have ur test scheduled, they should give you more details.

Hi friends,
Thanx Manish. What do u mean by "the actual date of exam may be differed upto 1 year". As u know my coupen is valid upto 31st of this month. Is it possible to extends the date.
Well i m frm Delhi (India),and i asked at INT( if u r frm delhi u might be aware of that) , but they told me it's not possible. Do u have any idea.

I used JQPLUS and I got around 70-75% in it first time. You need to write the same exam again and again until u get 100% or maybe 80-90%. I scored 83% in the real exam. I didnt find time to read books in the last minute , so I just went through all the questions in Jqplus objective-wise and also toughness-wise, i think this will be more than enough.

All the best for exam,
Priyha.

The statement is as written on the back of my voucher, isn't it there on ur voucher? The way I understand it, it means you need to register before 31st oct 2001, but you can schedule the exam anytime before 31st oct 2002. But if your prometric says you can't, you can't do much abt it.
Anyway, just forget postponing if you can't do it now. Instead, prepare from important/reliable sources, concentrrate on fundamentals, there are some easy picking there that you shouldn't miss. Have regular sleep before the test, consume entire 2 hrs of the exam, stay calm and alert during the test, I am sure you'll come out as an SCPJ2.
Good luck,
- Manish

Hi,
As I have written, all you need to do is contact your country's Prometric testing center (their number is usually typed at the back of your voucher), sign up for the test, and then call the same number again to extend your exam date. As far as I know you can extend upto 1 year since the date you sign up your voucher.
Please notice that you need to have 24 or 12 hours (i'm not sure about this) before the time of your exam, to be able to extend your exam.
Good luck,
Roy.

As u don't have enough time, i suggest u to study Velmurugan's study notes and prepare abt 10 codes for each chapters of SCJP....and i think u r in a passing track .....

If you can continually hit 70% in JWhiz, I'm pretty sure you can pass :-)
You can also play with Marcus Green's mock exam and try to memorize the common trap, some people told me they experienced some degree of similarity with Marcus's.
All the best for you sandy,
roy

I think Marcus's mock exams are a bit easier.
Again, i think you will pass.
