I guess that there's no fooling the people at Sun. Lots of questions on Threads. My weak points were in "Declaration and access control" (Whatever that is. Do they mean inner classes?? If so, they got that right. :-), "java.io" (After all, I did little to no coding, so when they asked me about the constructor chaining, ah well...) and 'Language Fundamentals' (again I have no idea what they mean here. I sure thought that my fundas were all right. I've been participating at javaranch for the past 10 days or so, haven't I??? How could I not have my funda right? I got 100% in the rules round up too.
Anyway, now I start coding. This was just the first baby step into the big wide world of
java programming. I am going after J2ME, java.security next. I will see those specializing in those areas in the appropriate forums.
I am still feeling kinda disappointed. If they hadn't lowered the bar from 71 to 61, I'd have failed now.... and I have never failed or come this close to failing anything that I took some time to prepare for. *sniff*
P.S. The moral of the story is, if you don't wanna be disappointed, take 2 full months and do some coding. In particular code Threads, and java.io and (if possible) AWT.
