Well, its a great day! After months of hard work,I have got my reward.I am a
SCJP!! Thats unbeleivable! I never thought I would achieve this distinction at such a young age(14 years)! And that too with 98%!
Now I would like to share my experiences with you all.
Well,I had to go to Delhi to give my exam, which is about 300 km from our city.So we had to board a train and that too at 3 in the night. You all talked about having a proper sleep, but I couldn't even sleep for 3 hours! I was very nervous and anxious. At last when we reached Delhi in the morning,it took us about 1 and a half hour to find a hotel. Then we freshened ourselves, and left for the prometric center at 10:30 am.My exam scheduled at 11:30 am.But I was so tired, and feeling sleepy. But when I reached the prometric center, and sat in front of the computer, all my sleepiness went away. That was amazing.
The exam was relatively simple,it was actually more easier than Marcus Green mock exam 1 and way easier than Valentin's exam.I got about 86% in marcus green's exam and 61% in valentin's exam.
The questions on Threads were bit tough, and IO was ok.I encountered one question which I know was 100% wrong.I cant specify that question,as the permission is not granted.
I had studied from two books,Khalid Mughal's book, and the famous RHE.I strongly recommend Mughal's book for SCJP,as it is an excellent book and gives you all the details.Reading and absorbing it will surely help to get a high score in SCJP.
I took a large number of mock exams, and I would like to thank Maha Anna
's Mock exam List for that. Its a great collection of mock exams, and I had no trouble in finding mock exams due to that List.
Java ranch also helped me a lot in my exam preparation.I came to know about various extremely helpful resources such as JLS,Maha Anna's mock exams, the inner class specification and many more. The discussion forum played a big role in my success.I would like to thank all the bartenders of this forum! And the ranchhands and the greenhorns were great too! Jamal was extremely helpful,he should be made a bartender!
I would also like to thank my parents, brother and sister, who have been extremely helpful and supported me right throughout this journey.
So thats it,finally I m an SCJP.But the journey has just begin.I would like to know your opinion about where to go next,as I m too small to do a job or something like that.First of all,I would like to build a world class website on SCJP like Marcus Green's and help all the aspiring SCJP's.
Bye,
Regards
Gautam
