I am proud to say that I passed SCJP 1.4!!!
It was alot of work (10 weeks of studying) and was the hardest test I've taken (most college exams are 2-4 days prep work). I have been doing light Java/JSP for the past year and have been programming for 5 years in various languages.
I did the following to prepare for the exam:
I read thru these books and took all the practice exams in the books:
- Complete Java 2 Certification
- Exam Cram
I also bought JWHIZ (well worth your money)
- JWHIZ 1.4
I did the JavaRanch rules roundup game
Marcus Green Exam
Dan Chisholm Exams on Collections, Strings, StringBuffer (his exams are very difficult - don't feel bad if you score 50%)
Best of luck to everyone!
