I just got notification that I passed SCJD certification and wanted to thank everyone who helped me on some decisions.
I REALLY got nailed on the GUI and I'm not sure why. I used the required JTable component and had THREE choice boxes to search on: Orig, Dest AND carrier. I left carrier in there because I used it to do logic testing on the criteria_find() method. I didn't use buttons at the bottom of the window, instead used an ACTION menu with Search, plus a Book Flight, Flight Details and Exit. I also had a Help option for online help.
While I'm happy I passed, I'm a little disappointed in the score. I tried to apply the K.I.S.S. approach, based on what I read and observed in this B.B.
Again, thanks and any response on your experience would be appreciated.

But still you are an SCJD now, Duane! This thing is tough, I know, and I'm still trying to find which string to pull to start it moving. So sincere Congratulations!

PS. You will have a chance to makeup for the GUI if you upgrade in a couple of years or so

Congrats Duane. Bummer about the GUI stuff though.
I am going to move this thread to the Certification Results forum.
