I passed
SCJP 1.4 with 81% last week. I want to express my thanks to Marcus and Dan for their wonderful mock exams. Without those mock exams, I won’t get this score.
I started learning
Java by reading the book “Thinking in JAVA” written by Bruce Eckel last June. During the reading, I coded some Java programs for practice. After finished book, I felt pretty good about myself and thought I knew Java pretty well. I heard somebody saying that SCJP was easy and without preparing and studying you could easily achieve 80%. So I thought I should go for the certification. I gooled internet for SCJP mock exams and found Marcus’ three mock exams. But, to my surprise I only scored around 45%. That really caught me, it is not easy! I have to study hard. After further google, I found this forum and Dan’s mock exams. I love Dan’s mock exams so much. They are not only mock exams, but also good teaching materials. After I finished all his mock exams in four weeks, I felt pretty confident about the exam and I went for the
test.
As for the exam, although the questions are not long, some of them are tricky. It took me 70 minutes to finish the first around.
