Congrats on your score. If you're up for some wisdom-dispensing, I was wondering ...
How much time did you spend on your project? Number of hours do you think? Any special way you prepared for things, or did you just figure them all out along the way?
I just passed the SCJP exam this morning, so I think the developer exam is next on my list, but still don't quite know how to approach it. (Since I've never done rmi or swing -- done a whole lot of other stuff, but those two nada.)

Hi Nathaniel Stoddard,
I put lot of effort in 1 month, approximately 5 hours per day. 2 nd month I worked 2-3 hours per day. I did thorough testing. Even I dont have RMI experience. I worked on all other J2EE technologies. You can learn RMI stuff in 1 day.
All the best for SCJD.
Cheers
