Hi All,
I passed
SCJP today with a 93%. Thanks to Kathy and Berts for their EXCELLENT Book
I have some prior experience in
Java. For certification I have used only one book. That is K&B
Earlier I was using Thinking in Java by Bruce Eckel.
The way I studied
1. Used K&B as the base, because it focuses mainly on the certification objectives.
2. Went through the Java tutorial which is available in Sun's site.
3. Used
www.javacertificate.com to check my knowledge, after the completion of every topic.
4. Wrote lot of code. This is one of my good habits, I believe.
5. Tried many mock exams (Marcus Green, Dans's, Javacertificate...)
6. Last but not the least, JAVA RANCH. I am a frequent visitor of this wonderful site
Even after concentrating more on threads, I lost one question from threads. So be carefull!
Once a gain thanks to Kathy and Berts
Thanks to Javacertificate team, Dans and Marcus.
Thanks to all who posted questions and wonderfull explanations in Javaranch.
Hari.
