Can you just give me a hint!.. Did you implement the lock/unlock methods in the Data class?

I don't, I implement these methods only in a lock manager class with different methods.

I did like you did. I made a class LockManager where I implemented all my lock code.

And in my Data class I call the lockManager instantion like.

myLocker.lock(2);
