Yesterday afternoon i Passed SCJP with 81% (incredible but true 100% only on Threads).
I've studied for one month(about 5-6 hours per day).
A little prior experience in Java.
My prep was:
Mughal and Rasmussen ' book (excellent, much more than real exam).
Dan and Green ' mock exams (real exam is very close to Green ' exams).
******* exams (Very Very Very close to real).
Java Ranch ' forums . Above all, Sun Certification Results' Forum: comments from Ranchers on how to take the exam , to pass it,
what mocks and books to use, were very helpful and gave me self-confidence and the courage to take a try (after all Sun says that
prerequisites are 6-12 months of experience). Thanks Guys !
Preparing for the exam it was a great experience:
Studying , deeply, the fundamentals of the language i discovered the secrets of Java !

Heading for SCWCD

Congratulations Vincenzo!

I agree that the Marcus Green exams are very close to the real exam. For those that have not yet taken the exam, I should mention that my exams are intended to be used like a workbook. As you complete each chapter in any study guide, then work through the appropriate single topic exam on my web site. After you complete the study guide and my exams, then use the Marcus Green exams to predict your score on the real exam. If you need more work on a particular topic, then you can review that topic by repeating the appropriate single topic exam.
