recipe:
1.read the head first book two times. do all the exercises at the end of each chapter and mock exam two days before the big day. any score better than 75% will mean u will do well on the exam.
read the specifications (1 or 2 days atmost)and it will giv u all the confidence to face the exam.
2. also do mock exams at j2eecertificate.com and anand chawla's website.

i spent 15 days (spent almost 6-7 hours everyday)preparing for the exam...that shud be more than enuf to do well on the exam

I read specifications of whatever interfaces or classes(only relevant methods) have been mentioned in the HF book. servlet API is easy to follow.
U dont hav to study the javax.servlet.jsp or javax.servlet.jsp.tagext packages in detail.

Dont forget to take a couple of mock exams and for all the questions
u get wrong , study the interface, class or method from the API specifications.

You can't have everything. Where would you put it?
