Got my score today on the assignment:

General Con: 100 90
Documentation: 70 65
OOD: 30 30
GUI: 40 33
Locking: 80 80
Data Store: 40 40
Network Server: 40 40

Total: 400 378

Just some questions about this :

- Anyone knows what the general con is ? Seems that lots of people get 90/100 on that... (not that it matters though, just of curiosity)

- The essay results, where are they ? Or is it just boolean (yes you made the assignment yourself or no, you didn't)

- I can only find my cert at the "certmanager.net" database. When I login the sun database (the one where you can also publish your certs) I'm not yet certified there. Anyone knows how long it takes when they are synchronized ? ...

Finally, I would like to thank everyone that helped me with my questions, I'm pretty sure that it is due to the numerous discutions on this forum that I have this result. Thanks again guys ! Moving out to the SCJB forum

Congrats on your results! There is no information regarding the essay test. It is, as you said, an all or nothing grade. Actually, the essay test is supposed to be more of a check to make sure you actually did the code yourself, so there really ouldn't be a grade associated with it.

Congratulations Koen

The JavaRanch SCJD FAQ lists the breakdown of points by section for the Fly By Night Services assignment. I would assume that the new assignments cover similar ground.

I have moved this topic to the Sun Certification Results forum. You can now find it here.

Regards, Andrew
