im total beginner. what i did was:

1. intro. ejb in 21 days book(theory only), ejb kick start book(hands on)
2. cert book. hf of course (hf mock exam 63%)(sadly read it once only
as library deadline arrived)
3. mock exam. enthuware(52% 73% 60% 68%)
softscbcd(74% 83%);didnt take other 3 exams as i felt
this mock exam software was unrealistically too easy.
4. if given chance, i would have re-read hf, but didnt as i depend on
library availability

before the exam, based on these horrible mock exam scores, i felt i was the most unreasonable person to go ahead take the exam.

but i got 95%. i still dont know if this is a dream.

thanks sanjay,

for passing exam, i read postings here in javaranch. theyre great and helpful. e.g. ejbql must read additional material, so i read that chapter on specs. second, you must use hf book. and third, use a mock exam.

for employability, i made sure i understood the topic, and did handson on almost all possible situations where an ejb is used.

i gave myself time, based on these goals. took me around 4 to 6 weeks total. depends on your current skills on ejb. for me, i started totally zero.
