Hi afia.
This is the first doubt and most common from the students or aspirantswho dont have experience. Please consider the following facts
1. There is no corelation between the experience of working in java (though this can be made up with lots of practice and coding examples) and passing the exam.
2. Even i can add more that its not even necessary that good programmers pass the exam or one who pass the exam is a good programmer. Though i just consider the fact that it adds some weight to your resume and sell yourself.
3. In fact the exams are itself a marketing strategy from the vendor here its like sun..
4. and the good news is that Sun is more focused to get market share and thus wants more certified professionals hence , made the exams more easy.
Joining to this group and selecting good book to read all the concept is good idea. Once your basics are clear
I advice you to do as many mocks and examples you can.
Please type code when you r trying to learn any concept and start thinking as a professional and developer (this attitude comes when you have some experience).
In fact you have more advantages than a working professional. As you can give more and more time and focus on the exam objectives. Just proper plan and hard work will take your score to 90 + in the exam
I wish you best of luck and hope future interaction as i am also preparing for the same this month
sameer..
