Hi Ritesh,
Congrats for passing SCJP
and about preparation for SCWCD..
Time :- It totally depands on you how muchtime do you give for preparation. If you spend 4-5 hours a day then within 2 month you will be ready to appear for the exam.

Cost: - you know it same as SCJP1.4. (111)inclusive of tax.

Books:- HF Servlets and JSP best bet if you are a beginner. You can also try SCWCD exam study kit by Hanumant Deshmukh. It is also a very good book
I used both the books and also refered the specs...

Mock exams:- follow these links--

continuing for the last note:

you can also purchase exam simulator from Enthuware or whizlab or Certgear
I would suggest Enthuware. Cheap and best.
so all the best prepare well for SCWCD

Hi Ritesh,

I don't know the prices in India.
You might get a Low Price Edition.Try searching some book stores at delhi
You may find these books at a cheaper price. I know if you convert it in Indian Rupees The cost of these books are very high. May be you can buy second hand books from Amazon.com and get a better bargain.

but in UK the cost are:-

1.SCWCD Exam Study Kit: Java Web Component Development Certification 28.35

2.Head First Servlets and JSP Bryan Basham, Kathy Sierra, Bert Bates 22.36

both the books are good and recently published.
Becareful SCWCD Exam study kit by Deshmukh have two version buy the latest publication it covers SCWCD 1.4
you can try at Amazon.com to find the price in $
I think if you really want to do well in exam you must not buy any other book apart from these Two.
Cheers
