I borrowed the Head first for JAVA from library and bought the scjp 5.0 book from online bookstore. These books help me a lot to pass the scjp 5.0 exam.

I think the only book you need to pass the scjp 5.0 exam is

Sun Certified Programmer for Java 5: Study Guide Exam 310-055.

I have also bought Head First Servlets and JSP and Head First EJB: Passing the Sun Certified Business Component Developer Exam. I'm going to read these books in next two or three months, I hope they are as good as the ones written by Bert Bates I'v read.
