Hello,

on Friday I've passed the SCJP with 83%. It took me three months to prepare for it and I 've read the book from Kathy and Bert.

In the last weeks I found the "Java Ranch" and read a lot of posts for the SCJP-Exam.

I write my first post for several reasons:
- I want to inform you about my result
- I want to thank you for this platform
- I've a question about the SCJP certificate. Today I received a link (http://www.certmanager.net/sun) where I've registered. I want to receive a certificate like this http://www.hikage.be/img/scjp-web.jpg Have I to purchase this for 7,50 Dollar or how can I receive it ?
- I want to go on with the SCJD. I read about it but I'm not really sure that I've all understand it correctly. The SCJD has two different parts. The first part is to write an application which includes several topics like Swing, Threads and network-programming. The second part follows the first part and their will be questions over the created application of the first part. The SCJD doesn't include a multiple choise part. Is this all correct ?
- I want to buy the Andrew Monkhouse'Book to support me with the SCJD. What do you think about it ? Is there a better alternative available ?

Best regards
Christian

You should receive a certificate from Sun up to 8 weeks after completing the exam - you shouldn't have to pay anything extra to get it.

Congratulations!

We have a special forum for announcing exam results; the Sun Certification Results forum. I'm moving this post over there.
