What is prerequisite for IBM Test 486?

None really. Except some funds at your disposal

(UML certification)

IBM 486 is not UML certification. It is part of Websphere Enterprise Developer Certification which requires three more exams to pass. Look up www.ibm.com/certify
OMG is offering three levels of UML certification. Each exam costs more than IBM 486. More details here
Best wishes

Pankaj,
There is no pre-requisite for 486. You don't have to have passed anything else in order to take the exam (is this what you meant?).

If what you wanna is the UML certification program, you may consider the one offered by Object Management Group.
Details can be obtained from:

It is difficult to say.

IBM 486 seems more popular, however, it is NOT a cert.

OMG focus on the specification of UML 2.0, which I feel it might be too theoratical.

But seems these 2 exams are the only UML-focus exams.
