Hi All,
Can anybody advice me of which one to opt first SCWCD or IBM 141??
Does these have any relation???
I don have any work experience in both, but have a fair knowledge.
I completed my SCJP 1.4 with 90% last week (worked well in fact without any guidance), wanna score high again with proper guidance in these both.
I have oppurtunity to work in both these tech. in the near future.
So please advice me.
Cheers
Sairam.

Hi Sairam, SCWCD deals with J2EE(Servlets & JSP) and 141 deals with XML and XSLT(I think). As far as I know, there is no co-relation between these two exams. If you are working(or will work in near future) in the J2EE field obviously going for SCWCD is a good choice. If the case is XML then its better to go for 141.
Good Luck.

I would suggest you to go for SCWCD first !! Its comparitivley very easy !!
I am sure that you would be able to clear it in 3-4 weeks quite comfortably with a good score. (yup.. afair understanding is more than enough)
As far as XMl is concerned, u need a LOT OF TIME . Exams by IBM in general are very tough  (at least as far as XML is concerned)
If u do not have much experience working with XML, u would need atleast 2-3 months to cover all teh topics(So many )
so, the choice is yours !!!

Good luck

Hi Sairam,
I made the W3Schools XML exam, and it was so easy for me, also I worked in a small project using JSP, XML, and XSLT, and I made the design of a report genaeration software for the same project using JSP, XML, XSLT, and SVG.
I'm preparing now for the XML exam too, although I know XML, I find it not easy to study for the IBM exam, it needs a lot time and a lot of studying, the main problem is that you have to get information from many resources, there is no one book that can give you all you need for the exam (like java exams), I would do the SCWCD exam first, but the only thing that made me choose the XML exam is that there will be a new version of the SCWCD soon, and I will do both of them, so I decided use the time till the new vrsion of SCWCD is there in studying for XML exam.
GOOD LUCK

Thanks a lot Satish, Hari, Tamer.
As you all suggested i will take WCD first.
I will start preparing soon.
Now can u pls help me out in the resources thats available for WCD preparation.
I used Kathy Sierra and Bert Gates's SCJP1.4 preparation. It was really a very good book which i would bindly suggest people. I even used Simon Roberts book for the preparation. These two books were very helpful in scoring high in SCJP. Is there any book which directly focuses on the certification objectives and makes life easier???
Awaiting reply to kick start my venture
Cheers
