My experiences about this examination.
At first I wanted to give sun
java web services examination , but after reading the contents for IBM 142 examination , I felt like giving this examination before going into web services.
Most of the questions are related to usage of XML and other related technologies for real time situations.They will give you scenarios and you have to choose the best possible XML technology to use to get the things done.
I have not encountered any questions from XML security , JAXB , XInclude , XLink , XPointer ,XForms but these are very much part of the examination syllabus.
This has made me feel that the distribution of questions are not proper and do not cover all the topics from syllabus.
XSD , DTD , XSLT and XPath and well formness of XML's are the most important aspects of the examination and these are heavily used also.
Few frequently asked questions about this examination: Will the exam indicate the number of answers to choose ? YES , the examination will clearly mention about the number of answers to choose from.
Can I still give IBM 141 examination ? I have checked with prometric guys , now only Japaneses version of 141 is available.If you want to give the examination in english then you have to go for 142 examination.
Can this examination be given from prometric , or we have to visit any IBM learning center for appearing this examination?
As other examination you can give this examination from prometric itselt.
