Click take an exam survey

2. SELECT the Exam to survey:

Please read the survey instructions carefully, for reference you may want to PRINT it.

Please fill out this survey by Monday, August 18th midnight MST, as it will close and you will not be able to re-enter the tool.

I am getting a problem in the last section(section 12) when I tried to submit the section and the form submission was rejected with the follow messages
There were problems processing your request:

A generic error occured:
null

and section 12 is always displaying 80% for filling out the questions for objective 12 and 12.1 to 12.4

Hi !

There was a duplicated objective in section 12 when I took the survey.
Maybe when you submitted the section someone has deleted one objective and you got the error.
Just a guess.

MZ

Took the survey today morning....
Finally, the exam is going to be updated.
The tentative objectives sure seem to be huge....
Hope, they trim it down a bit....
Even though rest was mentioned , there was no mention of
JAX-RS anywhere in the objectives. Hope they include that as well.
I have written about the new objectives on my blog.

This wasn't a beta. This was a survey for the proposed topics for the exam. You'll see an announcement for registration dates and examination dates when Sun actually has a beta for folks to take for a test-drive.

I'd figure that this likely means we'll see an exam announcement late this year or early next.

Heyyy.

I'm planning to do this exam but I don't really know which book I could read (That covers all topics or most of them). Do anybody have some idea ?
What about the beta exam day ?

Thanks.

Since there's been no announcement yet of a beta exam for a new version, nor has there been distributed a concrete list of topics that will be covered, there's also no books in specific yet that can be recommended for study. Relax, and just wait for an announcement about the beta before you start getting yourself worked up about this. In the interim, you could start looking over materials related to the latest WS information at Sun's Java site and getting some experience, but I don't think there's anything published in specific that one could definitely point to as a good studying reference for this upcoming exam.

I agree with Theodore,

I think that you can use the existing resources to study from and you won't be wasting your time! When a beta is announced you might find that you'll want to supplement your studies, but I don't think you'll find that any previous studies were a waste of time!

hth,

Bert
