On sun site, certain downloads for J2EE topics require windows 2000 professional edition. Can I download it if I have windows
98 ?

Could you specify what you are thinking of downloading?
Thanks,

I want to download J2EE RI server.
The link http://java.sun.com/j2ee/j2sdkee/ says I need windows 2000 professional edition. Would it harm my PC if I downloaded it with windows 98 platform ?

it won't work actually , Vishakha. You will have to have either Windows NT or windows 2000 to run these s/w. Especially , surprisingly , Sun has unveiled J2EESDK for NT only , not for 95 , 98 series of windows.
