Hello budding architects,
Has anyone read the book "Sun Certified Enterprose Architect for J2EE technology Study Guide" from Sun Microsystems Press .
Is that a good one ?

I have read and I thought it was pretty good, although certainly not the only book you will need to pass the exam.
Since it is written by the same people that did the exam, it should have a pretty good focus on what's actually on the test.

read the book and i think some parts of it are quite good like securiry, uml ( if all that is covered is what we need to know for the exam) and the protocols, however it does seem ( and the author do mention it themselves) more of a "notes for the exam" rather then a study guide. I wouldnt count only on the knowledge gained from the book with aspects like ejb and the ejb container. but as "notes" its quite alright, and gives some indication on the "spirit" and depth of the exam.

The much discussed SCEA guide from Mark Cade and Simon Roberts - is from Sun Microsystems Press only. Isn't this is what you all are refering to?
If yes, just search in this very forum, you will find at least a dozen threads analyzing that book. In short, its is good but not great.
