1. What type of firewall will you use to the validate the application protocol of a network communication?
a. SSL
b. Packet Filters
c. Stateful packet Filters
d. Proxy

According to the 3 com firewall page I think
it would be stateful packet filters..
however the answer is said to be d proxy.

Proxy is the right answer.
Proxies are build as application layer firewalls as they are aware of the protocol.

This proxy server knows about http protocol
