None of the use cases talk about the frequent flyer mileage sytem(FFMS). In a real world case after the payment is successfully paid, the system should automatically update the FFMS but the use cases given in the assignement don't talk about it.

I'm assuming that that I don't have to show any interaction with FFMS in the squence diagrams.

thanks.

What did you smoke? I am just joking.

The use cases talk about the FFMS implicitly. The text in the assignment is hard to read. The best way to do it is: read the assignment a few more times, leave it there for a couple months and read it again. Serious!!!

In a real world scenario - the FFMS will NOT be updated until the event of the Flight Departure has taken place.

Just paying for it never updates the System with the frequent flyer.

I think in a real scenario mileage has to be updated soon. Otherwise someone could book more award travel with the same mileage...

I see what you mean.
When the Customer, books a ticket using the Awards Mileage program, the miles have to be deducted when the ticket is booked.

What I was trying to convey in my last post - was that the FFMS does not get updated with the additional miles when the customer buys a normal ticket.
This sub-system gets updated only when the event of flight departure has taken place.
