Lee,

Fear not. This is very common. Send a mail to them giving your full details. You will get a mail back saying you now have the permission. Then you can upload it.

And yes, you can safely take the exam before uploading. But, send the mail first, and try to upload once again before exam.

My only worry is tomm will the prometric center will allow me to write the exam before uploading the assignment ? and when i mail sun i got an out of office auto responder mail.

I am having the same issue. The thing that really gets me here, is that nobody will take responsibility for the questions I have about this. Prometric points the finger at Sun, I called Sun Education and they told me that this is a "Sun Certification" department problem, and, get this, they have NO PHONE NUMBER CONTACT! What a joke! The only way to reach these people is through email, and like Lee said before, I get an Out of Office reply. They will try to get to my email within a few days. I also tried calling the testing center. Don't go there. Almost everyone I talked to about this said "What? You have to upload something? I've never heard of that before". I am losing confidence in Sun everyday, and this little episode is not helping their cause. Any suggestions? I also sit for part III tomorrow.

Yes. You can write part III without submitting part II. They don't validate the upload when you sit for part III. But be sure to submit the assigment ASAP. preferably within a day or two.

Of course I will try to do that. Its been 24 hours and still no response from them. Not even a "we will get to you shortly". What a joke...

Taken part 3 , still no newz from Sun/Prometric !!! It crazy... My question is why the hell they dont enable upload permission as soon as they send the assignment !!
I've lost hope, very unprofessional behaviour.
I donno what i should do now , has anyone faced such a problem, please suggest what i need to do ?

Lee, I feel for you. I am in the same boat. I just took part 3 and still no word from Sun. I have emailed them at least four times and still no word. Any suggestions from anyone would be great.

Looks like everything is ok for me now. I guess their guidlines are 48 hours for a reply. So, a note to anyone about to submit their assignment and take part three. Allow AT LEAST 48 hours between the time you want to submit and then take part three. Accept the fact that you will not be able to upload your assignment without contacting [e-mail] first. Contact them, tell them to set you up, wait 48 hours, then upload and take the essay exam. Save yourself the stress.

All is well now. I hope I passed. Let see how long it takes to get the results now... sigh....

Same here, thing are sorted out. I did upload the assignment. Ya i agree with Jack, let there be a gap of 48 hrs atleast before part 2 & 3, or as soon as u get the mail asking u to download the assignment go ahead and send them the mail for access to upload. Guess that way you are ready.
