Concurrency and SCEA Assignment

How important do you guys think addressing concurrency issues is in the marking of the SCEA Assignment? By concurrency issues I mean multiple customers attempting to book the same seat or to book the last seats on a flight at the same time.

This would depend on the requirements too. If the requirements are such that you need to support concurrency, then you need to design accordingly.
There are techniques for doing the same for example using Optimistic Locking patterns in EJBs.
