Well, for some strange reason, I decided last week that it was 'now or never' with the SCEA exam - I've only had the Cade guide for six months now - and registered for Part I, partially because I needed to burn a day off from work and partially to actually get myself motivated to do it.

Moral of the story: Don't do what I did.

My breakdown:

So, I squeaked out a 79. The score isn't the horror story, since I ascribe to the 'any landing you can walk away from' principle. My horror story was my decision last night to start working on Mock Exams, which I found myself doing badly on, which just undermined my confidence. PLUS, this is all in the midst of preparing for my wedding - four months off - which this was meant to be a distraction from... and it distracted me from my studying. Le sigh.

My preparation mostly was work experience with the Cade book to back up and help me grunt through the more technical aspects of what they were wanting to hear. In the end, I think my experience served me well and helped me navigate around a few very neat trick questions.

Now to give it a rest for a weekend and then register for Part II on Monday.
