Is it enough to buy this one to pass the part I exam???

Thanks.

It's really good book. Not just for exam but in real life as well.

Hey Brenda -

We'd love for you to buy HFDP, but alas it would help you only on certain sections of the SCEA certification

HFDP doesn't get in to J2EE stuff.

I just place order to buy HF EJB and HFDP from Amazon. It takes at least 10 days to ship the book here. I ordered two together because I have confident on HF series quality and the shipping cost is lower compared to order individually.

I really want to read the books asap

For SCBCD, is it enough to read HF EJB? Anything else I should prepare for the exam?

I haven't heard the author of HFDP (don't know he is good or not ) , did you involve to write the book, Kathy and Bert?

Hey Brenda -

We're very happy you're enjoying the books! The EJB book is designed to help you study for the SCBCD, and many people think that it's good for that purpose.

The Patterns book is just to help you learn patterns, it isn't really designed for a certification exam. We worked with Eric and Beth to write this book, and while we can't take credit, because they really wrote almost all of it, we give it our best endorsement - we think it's a great intro to patterns and advanced OO concepts.

Keep us posted on your progress!

- Bert

p.s. Brenda - you can go to oreilly.com and download a chapter and the TOC to see what you think!
