For the SCEA ssignment, is it ok to use EJB 3 with say JBoss?

Do we have to get the application running on an app server?I thought we needed to design the application only.

We need not develop any code, we just need to design/architect the application.

J2EE API to use:
APIs relevant to the Assignment

The assignment requires that you have an in-depth understanding of the Java programming language and J2EE APIs. You can choose to use any released version of the J2EE APIs.

You can use EJB3.0 as long as you mention that in your assumptions. EJB 3.0 is still in proposed final draft. Are you going to use a propsed final draft specifications for your real project?
 
Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
