Hi, I'm thinking of taking the Sun Certified Enterprise Architect exams. I've been coding for a good few years now but for this exam I will probably have to do alot of work to pass, as its not focused on coding but more design etc This might be a stupid question but I'll ask it anyway:
I realise even though this exam is based on the older J2EE APIs you can use the newer version of the APIs if you want, but are there plans by Sun to replace this exam with an updated version in the near future? (in which case I'd be better off to just wait for that)

Thanks

Hi, First of all i think you need to edit your display name as it does not conform to the javaranch naming policies.

Regading, Your question, yeah Sun might comeup with an updated version in the future, but it does not matter, Coz even in Part-1 mostly the EJB part is outdated. Which is one of the many sections in the exam ?

You can take part 1 now, preparation of which might take from 4 weeks to 16 weeks depending on your experience.
