The current exam is based on J2EE 1.2, which includes EJB 1.1.
why no ejb3?

I am confused. I am preparing for SCBCD 1.3 which is based on EJB 2.0. I was hoping this would help me with SCEA's ejb portion but now I realize SCEA tests skills in EJB 1.1.

Is there much diff between these two sepcs 2.0 vs 1.1. At least the version numbers tell me that there may be huge difference.

Can anybody clarify on this. Appreciate your comments.

ejb 2.0 is backwards compatable.

first of all the SCEA is all high level functionaltity.
what do entity, session, message ejb do? when do you choose one of the other. what features do each EJB offer?

the developer exam are detail oriented!!! with a little high level thrown in.

from the Sun's perspective the architect only need a general knowledge of java and java technology. They communicate to developers requirements and high level design decisions. About the closes to code an architect gets is specifying class attributes or method signature.

Good to know. If I understand it correctly, SCEA focuses high-level stuff so 1.1or 2.0 shouldnt matter much.
