Hi,

I have seen posts suggesting that SCEA covers EJB1.1. But in the book Sun Certified Enterprise Architect for J2EE Study Guide (Paul R. Allen, Joseph J. Bambara), it says that exam covers J2EE1.3, and as far as i know it has EJB 2.0, where MDB were introduced. Someone who has taken the exam can please clear my doubt?

Thanks & Regards
Pawan

Pawan,

The SCEA-Part I exam is based on J2EE 1.2 which includes EJB1.1.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,

Hi,

Is this mentioned on SUN website that SCEA has J2EE 1.2? Can you please provide me a link?

Its the book (Sun Certified Enterprise Architect for J2EE Study Guide (Paul R. Allen, Joseph J. Bambara)) which says SCEA has J2EE1.3.

Hi David,

Per your suggestion I've changed my display name. Thanks for pointing that out to me.

Also Pawan,

If you ask something and someone replies addressing it to you atleast you should have the courtesy to reply back to that person. Well this is my personal opinion. Pls. ignore this if you don't agree to the same.

Thanks,

Hi Sandeep,

I think you are right. Sorry about that, it was "excuseme please", which confused me. So can you please tell me where did you find the EJB version information on SUN website?
Well i checked the objecttives in detail and there is no mention of Message Driven Beans, so i think it may be EJB 1.1. But then why this book talks says J2EE1.3 as part of SCEA exam?
What is your experince of the objective questions BTW?

Thanks
Pawan

Hi Pawan,

No problems at all.

Well, you won't find the version information at any of the sun web sites.

Rest assured currently and for quite sometime from now may be say atleast till the end of October this year the SCEA - Part I exam will be based on J2EE 1.2 and EJB 1.1.

BTW what exactly you would like to know about my experience with objective type questions ?

Thanks,

Hi Sandeep,

Just wanted to know about the areas you think shall be given more importance, in terms of the number and complexity of the questions in the exam. BTW where are you based?
