Hi there!

I think your feedback about the exam topics may help who didnt yet take the exam... So, here we go:

- There are questions asking for xml deployment descriptors excerpts? If so, in what areas?

- There are those infamous placeholder blocks kinda of questions?

- Can anyone elaborate more about security covered topics?

- I feel that, besides the theory/design patterns/ap/etc(which is btw a lot of stuff), the main api topics are EJB3 and Servlet/JSP/JSF. Can you enlighten us about what APIs to focus hard?

Almost all of your questions have been discusses here:

SCEA Beta Test Exam

As far as placeholder questions, yes, there were four of five.

As far as XML DD excerpts, I didn't see any.

As far as APIs go, I don't recall too much API stuff. I mean, they never asked questions about a particular method. In fact, I don't remember any code at all, and when I think API, I think code.

Having said that, you needed to know a whole heck of alot about JSF, EJB 3.0 and Web Services. That was a huge part of the exam, and some fairly in depth questions.

Placeholders...Think it means you are given a visual, and must drag and drop a correct answer into a given space.

Cameron,

Thanks for your insights! And yes, I think we should move the discussion to the thread you point me.
