Yes I think SCBCD 5.0 would be very useful. Mikalai was right that there were no code samples for EJB 3 but a lot of EJB 3 concepts especially JPA can be found in the exam.
In my case, I would be taking SCBCD 5 in January which is a few months after I took SCEA 5 Part I Beta. Knowing the details of EJB 3 development would prove very useful also for part II as you can make assumptions and decisions for your assignment based on this knowledge.
