Well... the reason I am finally back is because the book is finished! And I just got a copy in the mail today, so I know it exists
O'Reilly says that Amazon customers will get it first -- the pre-ordered copies will be shipping out sometime in the next few days. It should start appearing in stores in a week or two as it moves through distribution channels. So, O'Reilly expects that Amazon customers will have it *probably* by the end of this week, or very early next week.
Thanks for your patience. Being back on javaranch is now a nice treat for me and I can relax!!

Just to let the others know about the demand for the HeadFirst EJB book.
I pre-ordered the book at amazon.co.uk last week and the likely dispatch date that I got for my order was Jan 27th,2004. I don't know why the delay. Is the book run out of stock, even before it hit the stores
