Hello,
For those of you who would like to get a copy of HF EJB in Canada online.
I have been tried to hunt down HF EJB in Amazon.ca but they still say it is "Not Yet Release". Well, then after I have hunted between Oreilly and Amazon.ca customer service, I decide to give Chapters/Indigo a try.
After I called them, I ask them how come your HF EJB has no discount but Amazon.ca has, then the representative replied, "We don't do any price match at all."
Guess what, now, they have lowered their price now in Chapters/Indigo. I have further asked them whether they have this book in stock. They said they do, and ready to be shipped!!! Yes!!! So, I just cancel the order in Amazon.ca and move to Chapters/Indigo.ca just now.
I have got the membership card in Chapters, so I have further 5% discount on the book, and free shipping!!! Yes!!!
Well, I really hope that Chapters/Indigo is willing to do more price match with Amazon.ca for all of their books. Before they put the price up, they should at least match it with Amazon.ca
John

Thanks John for the info. I just cancelled my order with amazon.ca (after waiting for more than a week) and order the book with chapters.

Hi,
I had the same problem at amazon.ca and they don't know when they gonna release this book, that's why I cancelled my order at amazon.ca and ordered at amazon.com. And As for Chapter,I think it's expensive as compared to amazon and Chapter is also taking a week to deliver book.
Regards,

Neuman,
Well, if you take a look at chapters.indigo.ca from last Thursday, you would see the price of HF EJB has been dropped by 30%, which matches Amazon.com
However, in Amazon.com, you don't have shipping free, you need to pay for shipping. In Chapters, you don't.
I have ordered it on Thursday night at about 11 pm. And they have shipped it on Friday (Usually Ships within 24 hrs) and I have actually called in Chapters online to confirm that they have the books in stock in their warehouses and my order has been shipped on Friday night. I expect my book be arrive on the coming Monday, which is tomorrow.
If you have ordered at Amazon.com, then I guess, you'll have to pay for the shipping and so on. Any how, should check it the local stores than others first. Unless you live in the States.
Thanks,
John

I have already received the book Head First EJB yesterday in the morning. Well, if you order, goto Chapters/Indigo Online.

I bought it from amazon.com on Nov 14 and I chose free shipping and it is still in the middle of no where. I am still waiting for it.

Hi Edward,
I ordered the book through Amazon.com on 12 Nov.,but I didn't choose the free shipping option,So today I got my book.
But now a days chapter/Indigo option is good as john advised as compared to Amazon.

Hi Guys
You are lucky, that you only had to cancel the orders on Amazon.ca. I waited too long that this book should be avialble there, then I tried Indigo people just 3/4 days back and they said, they don't have it. And you know what,I requested one of my friend who travels every week to Canada as he works with us, and I used his home address in US. On November 17th I ordered that on Amazon.com and when checked on Nov 19 on amazon.ca, they said now its available. huh.. Now my friend is not coming next week, so I need to wait till first week of December when he'll come with my book and on top of it I can't cancel the order now

I ordered the book from Amazon.com as soon as it was released. I got it delivered to my home in 4 working days. BTW, I live in Toronto.
