Hi everyone!
I would like to pursue my career in Java/J2EE.
Iam indian, about to complete my MS in software Engineering in december. When I look for jobs, what all I can see is for those who already have H1. Iam currently on F1. Iam not sure how to get hold of guys who can sponser my H1. What all I heard from my friends is that instead of trying jobs individually, they suggested that I should join a consultancy and get my H1 done and then look for jobs. Is that true?
I have 2 years of experience in india and 1 year here in US through interns. I have aslo finished Sun certifications(SCJP,SCWCD,SCBCD).
What should be my next step toward my career?
Thanks
bhilla

just my 2 cents...
make sure you put your internship in your resume, as that is your top sell for now i think
if u have high MS grades, then put it also in resume
going with consultancy companies... the advantage is, they have numerous clients; so if ever that is an advantage, you will find assignment clients more easily....without applying for another position in another company, your consulting firm will help you,...or else 'release' you of course
