I can see two specs for EJB 3.0, one is to build an implementation and another one is to build an application.

Which one I should read for this exam ?

I believe we should read the one that is to build an application. But not sure about the first one.

Actually, I found three specs:EJB Core, Persistence and Simplified.

No, they are not diffferent. The certificates you will receive for any beta exams are exactly the same as those for regular, released exams.

Nice to hear from you again, Evelyn!
I wonder do we (beta testers) need to pay for the exam fees? If yes, how much would it be?

No matter it is Free or USD10, I'll go for it..

What happens if you fail the exam ? Will the sun cert site record it as a failed attempt ?

Does the "2 week gap between retakes" policy apply here too ?

Is this offer valid everywhere ?

Going back to check my own record - since I didn't recall offhand - the answer is yes, it shows up as a failed attempt.

Does the "2 week gap between retakes" policy apply here too ?

The policy is largely moot - results don't come back from the beta exam for about six-eight weeks after you take the test.

Is this offer valid everywhere ?

If you look at the top of this thread, there's phone numbers for all regions, so I'd imagine that yes, this is available worldwide by and large, but would require a call to your regional center to double-check if you're concerned.

Since the registration start date is 24 Nov, it is normal that you cant find the link.

The test number is expected to be 311-091, if it follows the naming standard of SCWCD 1.4 beta. But you have to double check that when the exam is available for registration.

Yes, as long as the number of test takers do not exceed the limit.

As there would limit to number of candidates that can appear for BETA, does anyone know, by and large, what is the limit?

Previous Beta Takers - When is the BETA registration limit expected to get over?

I don't think this site can be used by candidates in India. They have to visit the local prometric center in person.

When I contacted the near by prometric center, they advised me to register online and then come back to them to take up the exam. Anybody know the exact site name (in which people from india can register), as well as registration start time. (in IST)?

I am quite confident of clearing the SCJP. In that case, can I book for SCJP in the 1st half of the day and SCBCD in the 2nd half. What I mean to ask is that if I clear SCJP in the 1st half, can I appear for SCBCD in the 2nd half ?

You have to call the Prometric Centre of your corresponding region.

Yeah, I tried.

But no info there. At the test center, they don't even know there is a new beta exam.

I am from Brazil.

I remember that with the Associate Beta Exam, I was able to register from de prometric website.
It is strange that I can't now.
