I want to prepare for the EJB certification exam. Is there any good book for exam 310-090? Is there a Sierra-Bates book for this exam?

Yes, "Head First EJB" by K&B covers 310-090 (EJB 2.0) version of SCBCD exam.

SCBCD 5.0 is *super* *new*, so there is no any book yet

Good news: you can read EJB 3.0 specifations and pass the test

Some of the SBCD(310-090) are missing in HF EJB:
Entire Objective 4: Session Bean LifeCycle and
5 th topic in Exceptions Objective.

Whether we have to go for some other book for these topics or to study the spec.
Please give your suggestions

I think they have covered session bean life cycle: see page no:185..
I am also preparing for BCD using HFEJB. I have used HFSJ for WCD and infact I don't look into objectives and Head First Series will take ( , I hope so..) and for exam we don't need anything else, though can refer to specifications is sufficient..
