I agree with Amanda. I have taken the Beta as well and as she mentioned it contained all questions from the complete set of questions used in the current exam.
So the beta was as hard as the final exam.
But:
Question quality is IMHO not as good as for SCJP as no real in depth knowledge is required.
I have some years of
Java experience and was working a few month with servlets 2.0 so I was quite comfortable with the basics. But no JSP experience at all, no Servlet 2.2 or 2.3 experience, no taglibs, no deployment descriptors, etc.
Just downloaded
Tomcat and the servlet and JSP specs two days before.
So I had no real experience in most areas and still got it: Passed with 91 %
Don't get me wrong here: I don't mean that I am brilliant - although I would like to be ;-) I mean that I don't pick all that Servlet & JSP & Container stuff up within 2 days after normal working hours.
So something must be wrong with the question quality.
SCJP was much harder: I started with 3-4 years Java fulltime experience, had much more time to prepare and still had a significantly lower score.
Any comments / flames around?
Cheers
