JWebPlus + SCWCD@whiz + Specs + Javaranch = SCWCD

I took the exam 30 minutes ago and got 73%. Not really a great score but I'll take it. Like everyone who took the exam said, it was not as hard as SCJP. It took me 45 mins to answer all the questions giving me ample time to review everything. I couldn't believe I got 25% (1/4) in Structure and Deployment. In my mind, that's the easiest section. Grrrr!
If you're like me who hates reading wordy textbooks (english is my second language), then getting JWEB+ or Jwhiz is your best bet. I have both. These mocks plus the two specs (which by the way were surprisingly easy to read) did it for me. I prepared for two weeks by doing these mocks for 2-3 hours. Miftah's and Ken's study notes gave me a headstart. I particularly like the outlined style of Miftah. It sort of summarized everything for me. Ken's notes on Design Pattern is great too! I scored 100% on this topic and I owe this to Ken.
I have extensively used both mock exams for my review and it proved to be worth the money I invested. I averaged around 85% for JWeb+ and 90% for JWhiz. Before leaving for the exam, I also tried Javaranch's mock and averaged almost perfect. That really made me confident.

I have one question:
SCWCD@whiz claims to be the same level of difficulty as the real one.
JWebPlus claims to be harder than the real one.
As you motioned that "I averaged around 85% for JWeb+ and 90% for JWhiz".
I am wondering that if the comparisons are for first round of test only.
I just want to have an accurate measurement to evaluate myself.

JWebPlus provides a much difficult questions. This is good since it forces you to dwell on topics which could have been easily skipped. JWebplus also offers more questions. On the other hand, SCWCD@Whiz more or less approximate the level of difficulty of questions on the actual exam. It also contains some really stupid questions like asking for acronyms. My guess is they did that to increase the number of questions.
The averages I mentioned were the result of the 5 standard tests and 3 random tests for JWebPlus and the 4 mock exams of SCWCD@Whiz. Before taking these exams, I reviewed section by section.

I will go for the UML exam. I also have two weeks to prepare for this one I already passed the JDeveloper and the Visual Age exams. It's like hitting two birds with one stone. If i pass this, I'll be certified solutions developer fot both Oracle and IBM.

I agree with you about SCWCD@Whiz.
There are many problems in SCWCD@Whiz. Some questions have no answers, some have wrong answers and a lot of them are low quality questions.
