Hello All,
I just passed SCWCD. It took me 2 weeks, 3-4 hours/day. I had 8 months of hand experience.
I read :
-"core jsp & servlet" book
-Jsp and servlet chapter from "J2EE applications and Bea weblogic server" book
-article about "listener"
But mainly, I prepared myself using JWebPlus and SCWCD@Whiz mock exam. It was VERY HELFUL, those exams are close to the real one !!
I will congratulate the people who have participed to this link http://www.javaranch.com/scwcdlinks.jsp
So now, I have to work on SCJD....to complete the whole Sun Java Certification Technologies !!
Regards,
herve attia

Congrats Herve, running on a nice track! U'll definitely replace the '?' with SCJD in short future....
To exam point, was there any drag-and-drop question? Any design pattern question out of the 4 mentioned? Any question poorly asked? And any time-shortage to u?

Thanks all !
Ashik,

Yes a few (3) drag-and-drop questions asking for the name of some web-xml tags.
Yes. 3-4 questions straightforward about design pattern patterns...mainly around value object.
time-shortage is fine. I had 20 mn left to review marked questions.
10-15 questions with Jsp/servlet code. You need to remember methods you have to implement for any listeners interface.
IMHO, the exam had some tricky questions about state/session management.....
For instance :
[real question deleted - Jim]
Don't worry. This exam is really easier in terms of preparation. I regret you have to memorize by heart some tags name or methods name...they should replace them by conceptual questions.
Good luck !

Poonam,
Concerning drag&drop questions, I didn't faced any problems. For me, drag&drop questions is when the system asks you to enter your answer in a textfield ?!
Anyway, don't worry about those kind of questions, the exam contains 70% of very simple one !! ....SCWCD is the easier exam of the whole Java Certification Technologies !!

Well, I didn't really need to study Design pattern for this exam...because I already did for SCEA.
For the SCEA, you use to refer to
-"Design Pattern" book [Gamma, Helm...] GOF. Also, refer to this great link http://www.patterndepot.com/put/8/JavaPatterns.htm
- Core J2EE patterns [aluk crupi] book. Also, refer to this link http://www.iplanet.ne.jp/developers/ias-samples/jps1.1.1/docs/patterns/
