A little more involved than I expected - but fairly straightforward for the most part.
A few things in there I did not expect - quite a few questions on
J2EE design
patterns - and not the ones I studied!
Hint: know more rather than less on custom tags, whether you use them or not. I personally do not think custom tags should feature so highly in this
test - but they do. The api has changed a little since the last version, this threw me a little. ( Apparently some class variable names have changed in certain return values of tag handlers??)
I went in to the exam comfortable that my working knowledge would get me through - indeed it did. But I can now see that more practice and study on the other 'more obscure' areas would have easily given me a score of 95% plus.
(should have, would have, didn't!)
Thinking of doing the IBM XML cert next.
Thanks to all JavaRanchers for helping out, not much in print as of yet - so this place was a godsend!!
