I have the Hanning book with the test simulator and have a question about the tests that comes with the book. Does the book have the same JWebPlus exam that is sold by the JWebPlus site - or does JWebPlus have more questions?
For those who have done the SCWCD test, did you find the tests in the Hanning book along with the test simulator sufficient for the exam? (I do have work experience with J2EE)
I believe the book has 180 questions in the pool...
Thanks!

The commercial version has more questions.

how much does the commercial copy cost? will it help out that much more? it almost seems like the manning book and the mock exams with it are all you need.
thanks,
jorge

That's the same question I was trying to get answered. I guess the Hanning book and question pool is sufficient...

The commercial version of JWebPlus is $35.00 and has 300 or so questions. A couple of guys from my office used that exam simulator and the servlet and JSP specs, and the O'Reilly JSP and servlet books. They did ok on the exam, but they felt that they spent too much time delving into details they didn't need to know for the exam.
After flipping through my copy of the Manning book, one proclaimed that it was a better deal than a $35 test simulator and 2 $40 books, and only goes into the detail required for the test.
I do not plan on purchasing the commercial product based on my collegues comments.

Hi there,
I answered the Exam last week. For the exam, Manning book + CD included (180 questions in mock) should be enough. The concepts are very well covered.
Good Luck...
Cheers,
Vidya
