SCWCD Study Kit by Hemant Deshmukh is an excellent book.Very well written ,very clear in expressing concepts with examples.
The above book coupled with the reading of Servlet and JSP specifications from SUN, practicing of some online maock exams , and the three tests that come with the book should be excellent preparation for exam, and also from the point of view of doing this for knowledge

Thanks
Are there any favourites? I mean with the SCJP exam, visitors of this forum preferred to use "Sun Certified Programmer & Developer for Java 2 Study Guide (Exam 310-035 & 310-027)".
Are there any favourites for SCWCD books?

I agree with Arvind, Manning's SCWCD Exam Study Kit is an excellent book -- it's what I used for my exam and what I recommend to my colleagues to use for theirs. It's pretty popular among other users in this forum -- do a bit of a search and I'm sure you'l find other threads that highly recommend it.

I echo the recomendation of the Exam Kit, but add that I've found the full version of the JWebPlus software to be invaluable in preparation for the SCWCD test. It costs $35 to download. I would recommend it above any second book.

I agree with everyone else also, Manning's SCWCD Exam Study Kit is a great book -- I'm using it myself to study for the exam. I've just about finished reading it and will soon start hitting the mocks hard to solidify my understanding.

Thanks for the info guys. I too am trying to find the best book to use for this test. But before I take the test, I was wondering if it is wise to buy a book to learn about what will be tested since I do not know much about the topics. If I should learn more about the topics, does anyone recommend any books out there to learn about the information?
