I will suggest for
"Sun Certified Web Component Developer(SCWCD) Exam Study Kit" of Manning Publication by Hanumant Deshmukh and Jignesh Malavia

This is really a very good book. I recommend this book for three things:
Writing Style: Very friendly and easy to understand.
Coverage: It covers all the topics required for the exam. Besides that it also covers topics like Filters which are very useful in real life programming.
Value for money: Besides excellent coverage of topics, it comes with a scaled down version of JWebPlus and tons of usefull software and material on the CD. The Exam Quick Prep section in the end is just marvelous.

Of the ones I have read so far, I like the Manning release quite well too.
